Sidaro started out as a trio in 2004 with
violin, clarinet and accordion, playing East European melodies and rhythms that
sound eccentric yet enchanted to western ears. The more 'Yiddish' part of this
music is also known by the name of 'Klezmer'. But there is also some 'Balkan'
and 'Gypsy' music on the repertoire.
In 2006 a bass player came reinforcing the band to give at it a more solid sound
that's also very tempting to the dance loving part of the public. Sidaro has
been invited to play on folk festivals, weddings and dances.
